Our latest real estate crush is Laconia Lofts at 1200 Washington Street in Boston’s fashionable SoWa district. Built in 1999, this pet-friendly building combines elements of classic architecture like fireplaces and hardwood floors with modern loft living.
Amenities like TV and computer hookups, air conditioning, and modern elevators (plus underground parking – a huge benefit in this neighborhood!) offer comfort and convenience. There’s even an art gallery showcasing the work of artistic residents and plenty of other galleries, restaurants, and bars nearby.

The 285 Columbus Lofts are the newest development from Curtis R. Kemeny of Boston Residential Group. The 8 story former office building has been converted to 63 new luxury loft condos and 10,000 sq ft. of retail space. The Earle building as it was known sits on the corners of Columbus and Clarendon and is in walking distance to many of the sites and attractions of both the South End and the Back Bay. Public transportation is also very accessible as the development is adjacent to Back Bay station where you can access the Commuter Rail, MBTA as well as Amtrak. Driving to work outside the city is also very convenient as you can hop on to the westbound ramp exit of the mass pike from your garage parking spot.
