I visited the Mezzo Design Lofts over in Charlestown, MA today and snapped a few pictures of the exterior of the building. The building features 146 all rental units that range from studio lofts to 3 bedroom lofts.

We heard some bad news the other day, The Achilles Project-Persephone restaurant have shut there doors as of Saturday August 1st. This is a major blow to the community. It is people like Michael and Shaka that are taking risks and putting a lot on the line to push the edge in Boston.
The Achilles Project was located in the Fort Point Channel at 283 Summer Street. It was a great place to meet up with friends and relax in the lounge/bar area and have some drinks. Neighbors in 25 Channel Center down the street are going to miss being able to walk to a nice lounge.
The concept for Persephone was Contemporary American-inspired cuisine that featured only the fresh ingredients and seasonal items. Chef Michale Leviton who you can still visit at Lumiere Restaurant in Newton did a great job creating the menu.

I went over to the North Point Lofts the other day with a client and saw two great units for rent in the Tango building. Each duplex loft had 2 bedrooms and 1.5 baths. They also had an amazing balcony with stunning views of the Charles River.
• Two-story lobby
• Hardwood floors
• Stainless steel appliances
• Tiled bathroom floors
• Variety of unit types and layouts
• Private stoops and patios at most ground floor units
• Large corner units
• Numerous penthouse units with private roof terraces
• Opportunity for controlled-access garage parking
• Key-less entry system
• Immediate access to the Central Park

The Tall ships are in town in Boston from the 8th-13th. I went over to the Seaport District on Sunday an walked around viewing all the Tall ships that were docked in the harbor. We got there on the late side so we weren’t able to get on any of the boats but we still had a blast.
After seeing all the sites we stopped in and had dinner at Anthony’s Pier 4 a landmark seafood restaurant with a ton of history and charm.

It looks like the last developer unit at 285 Columbus Lofts has gone under agreement. This was another big success from Curtis Kemeney and Boston Residential Group.

If you haven’t been yet, you need to get you and your pooch’s butts down to the Alibi Bar and Lounge Patio in Boston where they host The Dog Days of Summer.
Every month Guest Judges will be awarding one Dog the Puppy VIP Package. It includes: unlimited doggy beverages, biscuits, a fabulous gift bag, and priority puppy patio seating!
Local sponsors Dogwood Cottage and Four Preppy Paws were there as well as tons of great owners and their dogs. This is a great idea and nice way to introduce pet lovers in Boston.

The Boston Business Journal ran a story the other day on population projections for the nations top 250 metro areas. In it they say that Boston is expected to add 400,000 more residents by 2025.
Boston will have added roughly 400,000 residents in the 20-year span ended 2025, with a total population topping 4.84 million people. That should be good enough to rank the city as the country’s 12th-largest, based on bizjournals’ projections. As of 2005, Boston was ranked as the 10th largest city in the United States.
